Our charity partnerships and community impact

We stand for a healthier world

Communities matter. That’s why every year we donate a minimum of £1 million to charities or charitable causes, per year. We’re proud to work closely with people and charities at a local, regional and national level. Improving access to healthcare can be a big gesture or a small offer of help through volunteering.

Our Corporate Giving programme

Business in the Community partnership (Tier 1)

People who provide unpaid care to a friend, relative, or somebody else with a long-term physical or mental health condition, can sometimes forget they need to focus on their own health and wellbeing.

We’ve partnered with Business in the Community (BITC), The Prince’s Responsible Business Network, to support the wellbeing of some of the UK’s five million carers, who give so much of their time to supporting others.

Health access charity partners x 5 (Tier 2)

We know that at the point of health need, it can sometimes be hard to reach the experts you’d like to, especially for vulnerable members of our UK-wide communities.

Our five annual ‘health access’ partnerships are aligned to our product roadmap and help unlock or improve access to vital health services, support and advice.

Always on’ health support (Tier 3)

Our customers and communities rely on us to help with their health when help is needed most.

Our 24/7, 365 days a year payroll giving, matched funding, Helping Hands (Grants), volunteering and Financial Hardship Fund provides round-the-clock support.

Let’s Care Together: Supporting those who look after others

We’re delighted to have made a £200,000 donation to support carers health and wellbeing across the UK

This multi-year charity partnership encourages businesses to support carers with their wellbeing by matching volunteers with carers for online mentoring and support sessions focused on four pillars of wellbeing: financial, emotional, social and physical.

The service will help to not only directly impact the lives of the carers, but also improve the wellbeing of those they care for and their households.

The programme aims to reach over 500 carers, across the UK, over the next three years and is supported by the charity, Carers Trust.

Introducing Dentaid

We’re delighted to continue our longstanding relationship with Dentaid – the dental charity.

Through our Denplan business, together we improve access to vital oral healthcare provision to those most in need around the UK.

During 2023, this will include 10 public access clinics and 15 clinics for vulnerable groups through a mobile dental unit visit.

Collectively, we’ll reach over 500 individuals in the community, and a further 90,000 UK school-aged children through the Dentaid BrightBites oral health education programme.

Women's Charity Health Alliance

Women's health matters. That's why we have partnered with four women's health charities; Bloody Good Period, Domestic Abuse Volunteer Support Services (DAVSS), Miscarriage Association, and Ovarian Cancer Action, to challenge taboos associated with women’s health conditions and drive meaningful change in the workplace by supporting employers.

Together with the charities, we will address some of the biggest health issues facing working women, as well as challenge the stigma surrounding them.

We donated £25,000 to each of these charities to support their work. And we will continue to use the Alliance to tailor our products and services, to better support individuals and their reproductive health needs.

Customer grants

Every year, we allocate over £50,000 towards supporting our customers who are doing great things in their own communities, up and down the nation.

If you’re a Simplyhealth customer and you’re involved in fundraising for, or running a local health-related project in your community, we want to hear from you!

We open up four ‘grant windows’ every year, where you can apply for grants between £250 and £2,500.

Simply download our form and submit it during our next ‘grant window’. We’ll then shortlist the most impactful projects and ask our customers to vote for their favourite.
