Local company Simplyhealth supports local charities at Christmas
Simplyhealth are spreading some Christmas cheer by donating a total of £40,000 to ten local charities and communities in need this festive season.
Andover based Simplyhealth allocated every colleague £40 from their Community Fund and asked them to help make a difference this Christmas. Simplyhealth colleagues were asked to select one of five community groups, each containing two charities that need a helping hand. Over two weeks in December votes from Simplyhealth colleagues came flooding in. To ensure all the deserving charities were supported, Simplyhealth split the £40,000 as a percentage based on the number of votes each community group received.
Put simply without the support of people like you and your company, the hospice wouldn’t be here to help when help is needed most.
I would just like to say a huge thank you for nominating and voting for us and behalf of everyone at the hospice, thank you so very much.
Michele Gard, Charity Director, Countess of Brecknock Hospice, Andover
Thank you to Simplyhealth for supporting the foodbank again this year. Your support at this time means that we are going to be able to keep our shelves stocked. It also means that we can continue to get food out to the people who need it so that families aren’t left making tough decisions about whether they feed their children or pay their bills or heat the house.
It’s going to make such a lot of difference to people. Thank you very much for your support.
Jenny LeLean, Manager at Andover Foodbank
Supporting local causes and building healthier communities is at the heart of Simplyhealth’s purpose of improving access to healthcare. It’s fantastic that we are able to support these local charities at Christmas and the important help they provide for our local communities.
Christmas is a time of giving, and we hope that these donations can make a significant difference for the people that they support, through what has been a difficult year for everyone. Thank you to all our colleagues that took part.
